A Day in Tivoli, Copenhagen

During my visit to Copenhagen last autumn, I allocated one full day to visit Copenhagen’s top destination – Tivoli – opened in 1843 and second oldest in the world, Tivoli boasts as a popular amusement park among tourists and locals.

Let these set of photographs take you around Tivoli on a de-tour :-)

One cannot tell through photos this place is almost 200 years old.

But by being present, I can smell the air in Tivoli, tainted with old rust covered in new paint, my conversations distracted by flickering lights, and occasionally humming to the muffled tunes from the carousel.

Light display was among the beauties of Tivoli

“If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.” -C.S. Lewis

“How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world.”

-William Shakespeare

In conjunction with lights, devour yourself in this video by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a production that takes you into a mental and spiritual level. Let the narration hypnotise you into this beautiful reprise.
