Frederiksborg Palace & Louisiana Art

Apart from Kulturen, Christinia, and Nyhavn, other spots in my Scandinavian itinerary last autumn included the prestigious Frederiksborg castle and the highly acclaimed Louisiana Art museum.

I don’t even know where to begin with these Scandinavian castles, they are all humungous, and most of all timeless. Frederiksborg remain as the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia to date.

Portraying the finest of the Renaissance craftsmanship

Definitely one of the most mind-blowing things I have ever seen, especially with the naked eye

Every inch of the wall and ceiling were crafted purely by hand

After hours of browsing thousands of paintings and getting lost in between hundreds of dusty, enclosed rooms, fresh air was a delight. Thankfully, the palace has a spacious Baroque garden built next to it.

That was not the case during my visit fortunately.

Perfect set up for a wedding or mythical photoshoot!

Next on the itinerary was Lousiana Art museum

This place is included in the Patricia Schultz book 1000 Places to See Before You Die

Overlooking the Øresund Strait

Hands down, definitely the best gallery I have ever seen
